The University of Florida Cuba Program was launched in 2009 by the Center for Latin American Studies. We aim to coordinate cross-campus initiatives related to the study of Cuba, and to further collaboration by UF and Cuban scholars. Smathers Libraries’ Latin American and Caribbean Collection has collaborated extensively with Cuban libraries and information institutions in the last four years, and it has been an intrinsic part of the collaborative agreements that the University of Florida has established with the National Library and the Foundation Antonio Núñez Jiménez.
