Interests

I am interested in the interplay between societal structures of meaning and the creative expression of contemporary narratives and poetics.

Experience

Throughout my academic journey, I actively engaged in a variety of cultural projects, contributing to university publications and participating in initiatives such as the digitalization of Jorge Carrera Andrade’s poetry, research into Ecuadorian children's literature and oral traditions, and the scriptwriting and editing of a documentary about coming out in contemporary Ecuadorian culture. These experiences exposed me to rigorous cultural analysis, as well as artistic and academic production, laying the foundation for my growing interest in poetry, documentary film, and visual culture.

After completing my undergraduate studies, I continued to immerse myself in art projects as a researcher, creator, and editor, while also delving into the frameworks of social science. I participated in an investigation into gender-based violence and access to justice systems in the Galápagos Islands. Subsequently, I spent two years working as an interviewer in environmental consulting, engaging with community members affected by the regional impacts of oil and mining exploitation. Finally, over the past few years, I have dedicated my efforts to teaching literature and philosophy at a community-based popular education high school.
