My academic interests mainly lie in language, culture, and learning identity. I am particularly interested in examining the impact of learner's backgrounds, environments, and self-perception on their linguistic progress.
I have always been interested in analyzing factors surrounding learning and the use of languages to cooperate and strengthen relations between Latin America and the United States. I aim to foster enriching intercultural language experiences with community collaboration to inspire generations through integrity and self-recognition. Additionally, I hope to examine education from different perspectives, encouraging individuals to broaden their horizons and work collaboratively across various Latin American countries.
I am encouraged to research these areas to generate practical solutions. In the long run, it will help reduce the socioeconomic gap in disadvantaged communities since their members will have access to purposeful education. One that prioritizes, and focuses on strengthening their identities as individuals.
I am a language tutor, university professor, camp counselor, teaching material designer, and academic coordinator. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and French and currently opt for a Master of Arts in Pedagogical Mediation in English Learning. I have over eight years of experience as an English and Spanish teacher in diverse regions of Colombian and other countries. Additionally, I have been participating in social, cultural, and educational projects playing different roles. I am recognized as a high-qualified and easily adaptable professional who promotes commitment, leadership, creativity, and values. I have actively participated in the creation of at least three English teaching materials.
