The Center for Latin American Studies draws on the expertise of over 160 distinguished faculty affiliates housed in colleges and professional schools across campus.
The staff at the Center for Latin American Studies are an essential part of the Center's everyday functions. Staff members process travel arrangements, course registration and more for our faculty, students, and scholars. Center staff also provide support with marketing and event efforts.
Students pursuing a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies (MALAS) come from diverse backgrounds and are an integral part of the Center. As part of their degree program, Center students select from 14 interdisciplinary specializations.
The Center for Latin American Studies hosts various visiting scholars, who help enrich our student's curriculum and faculty research.
The Center for Latin American Studies' Faculty Advisory Council is composed of Center-based and affiliate faculty representatives, ex-officio members, and a Council Chair.
