Dr. Tremura will serve as inaugural Associate Director to grow development and impact at CAME

Core faculty Dr. Welson Tremura (Music) has recently been named the inaugural Associate Director for UF's Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship (CAME). CAME connects networks of scholars, artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, and advocates to the engines of creative and cultural economics at the heart of migration.
Dr. Tremura will serve as CAME’s associate director for one year, while maintaining his appointment here at the Center for Latin American Studies as well as at the School of Music. At CAME, he will play a pivotal role in CAME’s development and impact by growing research initiatives around the arts, migration, and entrepreneurship. Tremura’s specific responsibilities will include engaging actively with CAME faculty, other scholars, and relevant organizations to cultivate and grow the center’s funding base, managing a special projects portfolio, and serving as an internal consultant and primary scholarly advisor to Director Oṣubi I. Craig.
