Dr. Richard Stepp’s chapter 'Ancient Grains and New Markets: The Selling of Quinoa as Story and Substance,' published in Developments in Corporate Governance and Responsibility 11, was selected as an Outstanding Author Contribution in the 2018 Emerald Literati Awards. The awards celebrate and reward the outstanding contributions of authors and reviewers to scholarly research.
Ancient Grains and New Markets examines the increase in global demand for quinoa and considers the impact of such demand on the Peruvian and Bolivian farmers who produce it. The editorial team stated that Dr. Stepp’s chapter was “chosen as a winner as it is one of the most exceptional pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2017.”
