The Washington Post interviewed Center faculty Dr. Nicholas Vargas, and affiliate faculty Dr. Carlos A. Suarez Carrasquillo, for an article on Puerto Rico and President Trump.
"What was captured in Puerto Rico this week was the period in American history when the president of the United States responded to pleas for help from U.S. citizens and officials with a series of dismissive, then demeaning, tweets that suggested the real problem on the island was a lack of gratitude, self-help and spirit of industry."
