Course description
This course looks at reproduction and reproductive control as a means of empire and nation-building in the Americas. It also examines foundational reproductive justice theory and the history of reproductive rights activism in both the US and Latin America. Finally, we will consider adoption, surrogacy, and parenting through a reproductive justice lens.
